I don’t know how to answer these kinds without sounding like a brat. OMG. Traveling is so difficult. I’m so tired. I have run out of money. A lot of people want to travel, and they should. So it’s risky, and you’re alone, and airport security sucks… the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Actually, the disadvantages are advantages for me.
I like being away from home, and being alone, and going around unfamiliar (dangerous) places. I like knowing nothing, and having no plan B. I like change and adjusting to change, and feeling awkward and uncomfortable. I like goodbyes at beginnings, and not meaning anything to anyone. I like feeling that my life is going nowhere, and knowing I don’t have “direction” the way most people do. In many ways, traveling is a selfish thing. I’m going to be selfish for a long time.

I’m actually terrified of planes so I Greyhound everywhere. For the longest time, the only place I felt at home was on...
