Been hearing great things about the Philippines.. Recommendations? Where should I go? Favorite beaches? Is Boracay any good?
The Philippines is a great place to backpack. It’s cheap and fun and not boring and the locals are nice. Boracay is OK. It’s great for partying on the beach with tons of people. It reminds me of a more exciting Goa. It’s worth a visit, but it’s not the best part of the Philippines. Palawan is my favorite place in the Philippines. You’ll understand if you ever visit. El Nido, the Tubbataha Reef, the Puerto Princesa Underground River… Oh dear, I miss my country. |
